Geek squad vs genius bar: part 1- apple

                                                                               VS

ok this isn't exactly the battle of the century here. Lucky for me, I have years of computer technical repair and programming under my belt, So I'll never have a need to hit up either one of them. But for the rest of you computer laymen out there, the people that find themselves lurching into bestbuy or apple store because your itunes isn't functioning (the worst that happens when a mac decides to fuck, bias detected?).Or when your ram chip has magically fallen out of place on your PC, or worst, windows decides to do it's thang and simply commits random harddrive failure. You might even be that one guy  coming into bestbuy with an old emachine from 2001 running windows 2000 on a 478 processor wondering why you can't watch youtube on your P.O.S sdimm ram running PC struggling with it's dail up card. But this blog entry isn't about your inability or lack of willingness to jump into 2011 computing, it's about the first line of defense in the ongoing war between a computer and your sanity. These are usually the guys (in geek squad/ PC's case) who are the final step before you put your rattletrap P.O.S PC out on the curb during an over night dumping mission.

Mainly though, this blog is about where YOU should work if you find yourself with a bit of computer knowledge and lack of a job or place to practice your knowledge .
so who are these computer wiz kids are these places anyway? who's better? actually I've compiled a not so serious list of pros and cons on both the genius bar and the geek squad.

Genius bar:
pros:
1. mac knowledgeable: Mac users almost have a cult like following, when you're a mac owner, you almost feel like you're part of a subculture of smarter and richer than you artsy computer elitist. You can almost feel yourself giving a fuck about the environment, animal rights, NPR and leftist political views the moment you buy one.Aside from that, when you have a problem with mac, which I will admit is rare, you're given an answer and or solution in a timely fashion.and your solution will invariably solve your issue.

2. better fashion: If you're in your 20s and still give somewhat of a damn about fashion, or if you're the type of worker that hates having to conform to the attire of the man,  You have to feel pretty damn good about getting up and working for the genius bar at apple. There you are, everyday is casual friday, I'm not even sure if it's required for your to wash your clothes when you work for the genius bar.

3. The genius bar, a great name! The genius bar gives you dignity. You have to feel pretty darn good about that, not only do you get to wear your daily clothes, but you're also called a genius to boot.If working for apple doesn't boost your self esteem, I don't know what will.

Genius bar:
Cons:
1.You're a fuckin computing elitist! I see how you look at those PC owners, I see how you scoff and snicker when you hear of PC people having windows issues, You're the type of guy that laughs at a man having a heart attack because he didn't spend his life being a vegan and eating tofu. You're cool and everyone else ,who's PC, is just a sheeple clone sucking bill gate's scrodes, yes we know. steve jobs needs a kidney btw.

2. apple has it's own intelligence/ black ops agency: If you get caught leaking new apple technology, you'll be kidnapped and spirited away to one of apple's blacksites in silicon valley, california.
